Harrow Recreation Park - Safe early morning/late evening or not?

Hello everybody,

I hope my message finds you well. I was wondering if any of you might be able to share your knowledge regarding Harrow Recreation Ground in terms of safety, vandalism, antisocial behaviour etc.

We are considering to move into that area and I am a bit worried about my regular commute to central London. The easiest way for me to get to the nearest tube station is to cross Harrow Recreation Ground from one side to the other. I love walking, especially through the park, but I'd be doing it mainly very early in the morning and late in the evening.

Since i do not know the area at all, I am a bit concerned about personal safety. How is Harrow Recreation Ground? Is it considered safe? Is it the type of place where youngsters hang out late at night, drinking, doing drugs and being loud? Sexual assaults? People being robbed? Any other incidents? What should I be aware of?

I think I am a bit paranoid because I got mugged twice, both times in parks.
