Buggy friendly walks - any ideas?

Hi All

I dont actually live in Stevenage but this is the closest local mums net to me. I just wondered if anyone knows any good buggy friendly places to walk. I live in Tewin near Welwyn Garden City and can get to Hertford, Ware, Hatfield and surrounding areas. Ive walked along the canal between Hertford and Ware and also Ware and Stanstead Abbots but am looking for somewhere in a park maybe?. I know there is Hatfield and Knebworth Houses with parks but you have to pay for entry at both of those. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Fairlands Valley Park is a great free day out. There is a boating lake, ducks and geese, a play area with a quite large supervised paddling pool, swings etc and a nature reserve. There is a cafe on site too. Its a definate for me at least once a week.

Another vote for Fairlands here. The playground is fab!

Also Stanborough Park, in WGC (not far from the big Hatfield Tesco). You have to pay a little for parking, but the park itself is free. There's a rowing boat lake, a sailing boat lake, a (basic) cafe, ducks and lots of green space.

There's a lady called Sharon who is up at Burnham Green - can't remember her surname though. Do you go to the Wednesday mums groups at the Memorial Hall - she's a regular there and loads of other CMs go as well. How old is your LO? It's shut for the summer holidays though.

Whooosh & CSWS - how are you two doing??

Hi Pennies!

Been pants at keeping in touch with life as have been potty-training bootcamp for the last 10 days-and with success (she whispers)

Pretty free all next week if you fancy getting together.

Anyone going to Noddy at Knebworth this weekend?

Ooh well done with the potty training.

I'm back from my parents' now, and currently available to meet up Mon/Wedns/Thurs next week. How is your leg doing? Is it up to a Paradise visit if the weather is ok?
