Kirkhamgate place to live

Hi guys thanks for your suggestions and advice in advance. We are planning to move to kirkhamgate in wakefield and as a new to wakefield i would like to get your advice? How is the area? I know it is a small village and has an outstanding school but is it a nice place to live?? We are looking around near M62 and M1 motorways. Tingley, east ardsley and wrenthorp are in our list too. Did you ever move up to this area? I live in this area and think its lovely :)
