Single family looking for local friendship

I am a single mum with a boy aged 10 living in Cambridge city. We are a bit isolated since there is no family around in the U.K.

We are looking for family friendships who are in similar situation - support each other, go to places together, have a picnic when weather is good and possibly much more.

My son is fond of tennis, general sports, computer games and programming, music, knowledge on universe and space, making and spending time with friends. We are both easy-going and very friendly.

My son and I have just moved to Cambridge. We are living in CB1. My son is 6 years old and we love many activities, being outside and active etc.
