Hello
My daughter is currently in Year 3 and we are moving to Higher Walton area in summer so I need to transfer her to a new primary school. I am going to have a look at all the ones local to us but so far a lot do not have spaces in her year group. The only school that does is Stockton Heath which I am a little unsure of due to it being inadequate a few years ago. Does anyone have a child who attends that school who can give me an opinion about what it is like? Or any other schools such as Daresbury, Broomfileds, Moore, Stretton, St Thomas and St Monicas. Thanks so much.

Thank you sleepismysuperpower1 but that's a little too far out of the way for us the other schools are only two minutes away so more likely to go to one of them. Thanks for pointing it out though.

That's a different Walton.
You need to consider high schools as places are very sought after. Do you have a preference for primary schools? Church? One form entry? Any sen?

Daresbury has excellent ratings, but is small and always oversubscribed due to proximity to Sandymoor. Also, it's in a tiny village, so driving and parking there is an absolute pig.

Moore is not as good, according to Ofsted, but is also oversubscribed due to proximity to Sandymoor.

Windmill Hill School is Outstanding, and has very good facilities and teachers, but tends to not be oversubscribed.
