We may be moving to Bishops Stortford soon. Can anyone advise me on bad areas?
We are looking at the period cottage houses around Jervis Road/Bartholomew Road/Nursery Road/Castle Street.
Looks very pretty, quiet and villagey from first impressions, but have also read to steer clear of areas near the cemetery (which these streets are). However roads specifically mentioned to avoid are the ones south-west(ish) of the cemetery - Waytemore Road / benhooks / Piggotts way / Elizabeth road. So is the pocket area I mention far enough away from these ‘dodgy’ roads?
Was just prompted to look further into it as saw (relatively) quite a lot of crime reported on Jervis Road when researching.
Thanks in advance!
Eek - not sure i would describe the area as villagey - parking there would put me off - it is generally horrific.I have friends who live in Apton road with no issues though. It would be a bit nr cemetery road for me though.
