Newborn activities Islington

Hi there I just wondered if anyone in Islington could recommend good groups or activities to take a new baby to? I am at the Highbury end of Islington. I know new babies don’t actually do much so most ‘activities’ will be a bit of a waste of time but it’s more for me as I would love to get out and meet other new parents. I have done a bit of research and there seem to be a lot of groups aimed at toddlers or 6 months plus but not much for mums with very little babies. I would appreciate any recommendations even if it just for places where it’s easy to meet other parents. Thank you.

New mums and tiny babies are always welcome at Baby Broadway concerts and there is one in Highbury this Friday! You can enjoy West End singers performing and if your baby is awake they'll love seeing you have a good time and singing along to them :)

I have an 8 week old baby and we like going to Baby Massage and Mums&Baby Yoga classes - drop in classes which makes sense at this stage. Its nice for yourself and the massage class esp also actually appropriate as an activity for the baby. I have looked at Baby Sensory and Mini Mozart too as they are from birth, but thought its too overwhelming for the little one...more for the parents as a meet up really. Also fine of course. Hope this helps or you have found stuff to do already what happened to the nct coffee groups?!

Apparently there's no nct running in Islington at the moment, I was told all the volunteers resigned. Such a shame, I found those meet ups really useful with my first baby and can't find anything equivalent now I'm off with my second.
