A Very Victorian Easter!

Join us for our A Very Victorian Easter event, open DAILY in the school holidays between March 30 & April 15.

Enjoy Easter Friday and Saturday (March 30 and March 31) in the company of very cute and cuddly Pygmy Goats and Ducklings. As well as experiencing these lovely creatures you’ll be able to learn about how these precious animals were looked after in Victorian times.

On Easter Sunday & Monday (April 1 and April 2) “The Van Buren Show” rolls in to create a magic “Victorian Theatre of Wonders” show for all the family.

Every day of this School Holiday event, the Victorian Mad Professor Nitrate gives brilliant interactive science shows and in the Mad Lab children can get messy with our hands on experiments and activities. Learn about the science behind Bouncy Egg and make a Gooey Fried Egg and much more.

Get creative with Victorian Themed Crafts such as making a top hat and fashioning Victorian style Easter decorations.

Play in the Victorian Games Area at Hoopla, Quoits and a Coconut Shy, and there are also Crazy Carts and Rail Rockets. And dress up Victorian style and take selfies!

All these fantastic activities are included in your entry ticket. You can explore our award winning exhibition, theatre and armoury too and opt for a 40 minute guided land train tour to view 300 year of hidden heritage and watch for nature.

The Royal Gunpowder Mills opens its doors DAILY between March 30 and April 15 for A VERY VICTORIAN EASTER- Gates open 10am , Last Entry 3pm – Pre-book your tickets through our Eventbrite page or buy tickets on the day subject to availability
