Driving Alton to Farnham/Grayshott to Farnham

Hi

Hoping someone can help me. Our son is due to start at a specialist dyslexia school near Farnham this year.

We currently live in the South West and are finding the houses that we can find around Farnham may be beyond our means or aren't quite what we want.

We recently looked at Alton and Grayshott and liked both places.

Could anyone advise what driving times from Alton or Grayshott to Farnham would be and how heavy traffic would be during the school run? School starts at 08:30 and finishes around 16:30.

Many thanks as feeling a bit lost about moving at the moment.

Grayshot to Farnham probably quicker but I think more expensive lots of sneaky little ways around (bit tricky in winter though and Grayshot/Hindhead always gets the snow) . Depends which side of Farnham the school is really - is it the Helen Arkell? (First one I can think of). Have you looked at Wrecclesham/Churt/Beacon Hill?

If it’s Morehouse, quite a few people go from the Alton area, so poteantial for car pools and taxi shares, and I don’t think the commute is too bad, certain,y Alton to Farnham (main crossroad lights near the train station) is only 15/20 mins.

Thanks both of you. The school is More House at Frensham so all your information is really helpful.
