Relocation! Help really needed

Hello everybody,

Me and my family (husband and 2 children) are moving to Derbyshire. We are originally from just down the road in Swadlincote but have been living down south for the last 5 years.
I am going to be working at the Derby Royal hospital and we are looking for recommended places to live. We really. Loved. Mickleover as has good schools and right on top of the hospital however after a very lengthy discussion with the admission team, all schools are full and the liklihood of a space opening is slim to none
Ideally we want to be no further than 25/30 minutes from the hospital have good transport links such as buses. Have good schools, be semi rural but close to amenities and things to do with the kids etc.
We have looked Ashbourne and Belper but only on the internet. Any information or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
