Hello there. I have been hosting American students on and off for the last 10 years and for the next semester, there is a huge group coming to London to study and or/intern for 14 weeks (from 28th January to 5th May). They come from a women's college in Virginia and are usually between the ages of 19-23. I was wondering if anyone local would be interested? The rate for a single room (including self-serve breakfast and 3 x evening meals a week is £151.57. If anyone is interested to find out more info, please get in touch. I am new to Mumsnet so not sure if there is any direct message option or not and don't want to post anything overlong. (Any tips gratefully received). Thank you!

If someone was interested in renting out their room in this bit of London, they could rent it on a longer term basis (less faff) with no need to provide meals (less faff, no outlay) and get rather more than £600pcm - compare and contrast with what's available on //www.spareroom.co.uk

Sorry, but at those rates I wouldn't bother even if I did have a spare room.

Hi
Wow. If this is the friendly tone of mumsnet, I am glad I have not been part of it before. I think everyone who is reading this forum is perfectly capable of deciding whether this kind of set up suits them and their personal situation or not, no?

Contrary to your assertions, there has been a huge response through other platforms. It would obviously not be for you even if you had a spare room, which you don't. Which is all fine and good.
