CAFE FOR RENT NOT LEASE IS THIS POSSIBLE`?

I want to rent a Cafe/Hot Food/Takeway (A3 or A5 class) and not get into a lease. Is it possible to just rent before purchasing a lease?

I was thinking perhaps someone who already has a lease and wants a break, or they are trying to sell and would consider renting in the interim etc etc.

Not sure if the above is possible but it would be great to hear your views. Almost like try before you buy.
