The Stratford Literary Festival is coming up this April and on the final day of the festival we have a Children's Day! It'd be great to have you there.

The Stratford Literary Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary from 23rd April with a feast of events for children. Playbox Theatre perform their charming Story of the jaguar And The Old Old World, and the week of the festival is packed with free events for Pre-Schoolers, including a Library Book Start Party. Rounding off the week on 30th April is a day exclusively for Children. An exciting line-up includes a visit from Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, hilarious writer/illustrator team Sarah McIntyre and Phillip Reeve bringing Jinks & O’Hare to life saving the funfair, and Anna Wright will be holding a magnificent creature workshop (3 – 6 years) to celebrate her beautiful new book. Get involved in The Big Draw Challenge where you can test some of the best illustrators including Pirate writer Jonny Duddle and Horrible Histories creator Martin Brown and create pictures and stories with Steven Lenton (who’s lost a large panda), the brilliant Rob Biddulph creator of Odd Dog Out, and the chance to make shadow puppets with Judy Reaves. There’s facepainting and story telling, and the day rounds off with a second performance of Horrible Histories by the Birmingham Stage Company in their West End blockbuster. Events start at just £5 or £15 for a day ticket. Go to stratlitfest.co.uk for full details. Box Office 01789 207100.
