Is drinking getting you down ?
Are you tired of hangovers?
Would you like to go sober ?

I am a happily married, 45 year old mum of two. I have a good job and and a nice home. I also have a drink problem.

In March 2016, after trying and failing to moderate countless times I decided to quit drinking. I am now almost 11 months sober Smile.

I couldn't have done it without the support on the Mumsnet Dry boards and the wonderful sober blogging community but as well as online support, I wanted support in real life. I knew that there were other women out there, just like me, but I didn't know who they were. Getting sober is tough and sometimes I felt very isolated. I wanted to meet other women who would 'get it'.

So I have set up Club Sober, a support group for women choosing to quit drinking. The idea is that the group will meet weekly to offer support, encouragement and a safe place to share the highs, lows and everything in between, of getting and staying sober. The first meet up will be on Thursday 2 March in Harborne.

If you are interested in coming along PM me or email [email protected] for more details.

Club Sober is meeting this Thursday evening in Harborne.

A small, friendly group of women who really get what it means to have a problem with alcohol, supporting each other in sobriety.

Whether you've recently decided you need to stop drinking or have been sober for a while, you are welcome to come along.

If you fancy joining or would like some more info, PM me or email [email protected].

Smile
