Moving/living in Frome

Hello,
First time posters here! Two 23 year olds, one with a 6 year old son, here seriously thinking about moving to Frome this year. We have ruled out the majority of other small towns around Bath for various reasons and Bath itself is too expensive. We like the look of Frome and properties for rent seem reasonable but are wondering if it is too far out of the way for younger people to enjoy. We aren't looking for nightlife or typical student type activities, but we don't want to be bored out of our brains! Most time would be spent working or at home but would like a decent high street or something to do/see. Would have our own transport so that isn't an issue but is the 35(?) mins drive to Bath too long winded for you to bother after a while of living there? Any other pros and cons of living in Frome would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

Forgot to mention; wherever we decide, we will only be able to visit once as we are moving back to England after having lived in Spain for 10 years so we are going in quite blindly!

I've not lived there, but think it's a great town/ village, we've visited a few times and thought it's lovely.

Lots going on for a moderately sized market town. It's progressive and interesting, tons of community stuff, great food & drink, loads of live music, loads of family stuff, incredible monthly market.

Have a look at some of the Frome websites and FB pages. Google 'what's on in Frome'
