Hi Mumsnet,
I am writing an article for Uni about Manchester Councils consultation and changes to sure start which will include closing 8 of their local centres - www.manchester.gov.uk/info/500326/budget_201720/7363/consultation_options_for_changes_to_sure_start_childrens_centres/2
It would be great to include comments from local parents, and your thoughts, feelings, opinions about this.
I am also looking for parents views on the Govs decision to not make sex and relationship education compulsory in response to the sexual harassment in schools report.
If you would be happy to contribute please comment on the thread which I will then include in the relevant piece.
Sure Start
What are your views on sure start?
How do you feel about your local sure start centre being closed?
Will you be attending one of the local consultations?
Have you received great support from sure start?
SRE in schools
Should schools provide SRE?
Why do you think the GOV have failed to commit to compulsory SRE?
Why is this needed?
What was your SRE at school like?
If you could also include your name, age and job title to your comment.
Thanks in advance for your time.
Regards Kerry
