Hi, we are moving in July to London. My children will go to either Ibstock or Harrodian and we would like to live in hammersmith. However some people think that the traffic on the hammersmith bridge is a nightmare especially on peak times like early in the morning and after school. What do you think? I know there is the bus 72 that runs that road. From google map it looks like it would take 20 to 30 minutes max to Roehampton lane. Any advise is very much appreciated. thank you so much

I live on the south side of the Bridge and I can tell you the traffic is pretty bad at peak times not just on the bridge but all along Castelnau and the route to Roehampton. Just be warned!

I live near Barnes train station and the traffic in that area is terrible at peak times of the day. Sometimes totally gridlocked. It would be a 20 minute journey off peak and probably more than an hour at peak. I strongly suggest you 'trial' the journey at the times of day you would normally do the journey on a week day to test it.
I'm a SAHM of one 6 month old and haven't worked for past few years and I only drive out and about at certain times of day for this reason. It's too annoying otherwise! Wish you the best of luck with your move! X
