We are very lucky to have 2 tickets to give away to Body Gossip's very important talk on Body Image and Self Esteem for Parents and Teacherson Thursday 29th January 2015 at the Canvas Cafe, Shoreditch, from 7-9pm (tickets are usually £10)

Body Gossip campaigns through Education and the Arts to empower young
people to be the best version of themselves. Awarded Cosmopolitan Ultimate
Campaign of 2012, Body Gossip has worked alongside the Girl Guides, Beat,
Young Minds, BBC Radio 1, Southbank Centre and Dove.

The talk will be delivered by Natasha Devon, winner of the government's 'Be
Real' Body Confidence award for Education in 2014. Natasha is author
of 'Fundamentals: A Guide for Parents, Teachers and Carers in Mental Health and Self Esteem',which is published this month.

Statistics show that 47% of teenage girls allow body worries to stop them
partaking in everyday activities at school like sport, presenting to class
or raising their hand. A 2011 study found that in an average British
classroom, 3 students were self-harming. And 1 in 10 people in the UK will
develop an eating disorder before they reach the age of 25.

This informal talk will offer simple, effective tools for parents and
teachers to build resilience in young people, by looking at communication
and language, the internet, and how to engage with the worlds of fashion
and beauty.

HOW TO ENTER:
All you need to do is answer the following question: What's the best body confidence advice you've received?

Email your answer to [email protected] and the winner will be selected next Wednesday the 28th January. Very best of luck!
