Myself and my husband have a 9 year old son who is currently in Year 5, we are thinking about sending him to Argyle House Independent School in Sunderland to start from Year 6. Just wondering if anybody has children who go to this school and can give me a review on how they enjoy it and how the education is?

Hi there, I hope u don't mind me asking but did you find out much about these schools?

We are looking at both of these schools, for our daughter in a few years as we r looking for a co ed school from nursery to GCSEs age but can't find many reviews about either.

Many thanks :)

My little girl is about to start reception at Argyle House, did any of you decide to go ahead in the end? It really seems like a lovely school, very family like in its approach. The other parents have been very welcoming, my daughter has already been invited to a couple of school functions this year ahead of her starting and we even got some hand me down uniform which has saved me a few quid!

We've been looking at Durham High School but for nursery/reception. So far the interactions with the school have been really good, although we're not there yet so I can't speak to that. If you are local I can recommend joining the Facebook group Mums in Durham, I got a lot of feedback from searching on there. I suppose a lot of it will come down to if you want the all girl's element or not, thats a big part of the attraction of DHSfG
