Bullers Wood School will be making an application to set up a free school, Bullers Wood School for Boys. We need as many parents of boys in Yr 4&5 in 2014-15 to complete our survey and make Bullers Wood School for Boys their first choice of school to make our application to the DfE successful.

If you would like more information the Headteacher, Mr Nick Cross and his Deputies will be available at a stall outside SWAG at INTU from 9am-6pm on Wednesday, 27th August. There will be an Information Evening on the same day at 7.30pm at Bullers Wood School, St Nicolas Lane, Chislehurst, Kent, BR7 5LJ.

We are aiming to open in September 2016; this will mean boys who are in Year 5 during the academic year 2014/15 will be eligible. If you know anyone with a son in Year 3 or Year 4 who would like to register their interest in securing a place for their child, please encourage them to complete the survey on our website: //www.bullerswood.bromley.sch.uk or //www.bullerswoodboys.co.uk (live from 30th June). Alternatively, they can call the Headteacher's PA, Mrs K McCarthy on 020 8467 2280 ext 305 or email: [email protected] .

I have emailed Mrs K McCarthy and expressed high interest for my DS who will is currently in year5 in 2015. This will be our first choice and we are looking for a property in the area. Also will look for an admin part time job in the area and Bullers wood will be ideal. Unfortunately could not attend the open evenings due to viewing appointments but consider ones at later stage. Keep my fingers crossed for the opening!

Bullers Wood School for Boys just sent out a message about an open morning on Saturday September 5. And they have their own website now.

Our DD is at the BW girls school and is happy and doing well there. So I'm confident that the boys school will be good, too...eventually. I am a bit concerned about the temporary accommodation that is bound to be used at the school for at least Year 7 and the fact that there will be no older students to mentor/guide the newcomers. I myself went to a brand new comprehensive back in the day but at least the school was built on day 1.

On a side note, it was also recently announced that Miss Spence, currently assistant headteacher at BW, is going to take over as headteacher at Ravenswood boys school.

Bromleydad, this is probably a good career move for Miss Spence.

I am a little bit confused how we should select BW for boys as first preference is we have to complete an additional choice form? Do you knoq how this works please as this is our first application for secondary school.

There is no another good secondary boys school unfortunately to be considered (I just want to believe that the boys one will be as good as the girls one), or is it?

Hello
I can't find any review in Bowers wood for boy as it has not yet been rated by Ofsted. I would love to hear some real reviews.
I am worried about bulling as it seems to be high in most secondary... how is it handled at Bowers wood?
how are the teacher?
the extra curriculum?
the behaviour of the kids?

Thanks a lot
