Hi,
I'm new to Mumsnet today and hoping to meet up with other mums in and around Grimsby and Cleethorpes. I live in Scartho and drive - is there anything going on that we could come to? 'We' are myself and my 4 month old daughter.
Does anyone meet up at weekends as well as weekdays?
Looking to make new friendships as going through a tough time at the moment.
Hoping to catch up soon and have a natter :).
Thank you for reading Lucy x

Hello Lucy. It's been a while since your post and things may have changed for you and I hope in a good way. I had a hard time when my daughter was born and for a while after. She is now 14 going on 15 months (going on teenage years!!!). I'm now in a better place and enjoying being with her, but it is still very lonely and especially on a Saturday! There are things to do, but because it's Imogen and I so often, i feel isolate sometimes. My husband works on sats. Get in touch if you would like to talk or meet up! :)

Hello to both of you!

LucyLocket82 I hope things have got a little better for you over the last few months!

Stephunited I'm glad things are a little better for you too.

It can be lonely with a small child. There are lots of toddler groups in the area and local children's centres are great places to meet mums and arrange to meet at weekends.

At mumsnet we realise that people find chatting online useful but also aware that people do need "real world" contacts and meet ups.

I am looking for people to become local ambassadors and set up little groups for parents to meet up. We also have something called the friendship bench.

If you click on the tab meet-ups it gives you a bit of information.

If you are interested or want further information just let me know.

All the best

Kim
