I spoke to a couple of local mums and who regularly go to BBBC and they told me about their Time Bak experience with a huge excitement on their faces.

Basically this project is a useful way for local residents to help and support each other in the community and they will be rewarded for it in time. Which means for every hour of time you give helping someone, you receive one 'Time credit'.

Here is more information from another website about this projetc:

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH YOUR TIME CREDITS?
YOUR TIME CREDITS WILL BE BANKED ON A COMPUTER AND YOU
CAN SPEND THEM WHEN YOU NEED HELP FROM SOMEONE ELSE.
EVERYONE?S TIME IS VALUED EQUALLY ?
WHETHER YOUR SKILL IS BEING A GOOD FRIEND AND
LISTENER, HELPING WITH HOUSEWORK, TEACHING A LANGUAGE
OR EVEN WALKING THE DOG, THE LIST IS ENDLESS...

1 HOUR OF YOUR TIME = 1 TIME CREDIT
PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES CAN PARTICIPATE.
TIME BANKING IS BASED ON THE IDEA THAT EVERYONE HAS
SOMETHING TO OFFER AND EVERYONE CAN BENEFIT FROM OTHERS.
THE SYSTEM IS FLEXIBLE AND SAFE AND YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE AS MUCH OR AS LITTLE TIME AS YOU LIKE.

keystagelearning you need to get registered and you are in. They have a notice board where participants leave their notes about what help they need. For instance: I need help with painting my walls, French language, Want to learn Mediterranean dishes, Skin care, Face painting. It can be anything and that gave to those with good expertise to find amazing jobs or start their businesses.

Those ladies I spoke to said, there was a lady from South Asia who was really good at cooking her national dishes and she opened her kitchen in 2 libraries in Tower Hamlets.
