Hello everyone! Now as we all know Devon is MASSIVE and GORGEOUS and so there is no way that I can cover everything... so here are a few ideas, hopefully to include something near where you are.

I'm really keen to get you all reviewing Devon's cafes, attractions, and soft play areas so if you visit any of these, you have my permission to call it "research for Mumsnet" as you tuck into your cake! Have fun!

East Devon

Bob The Builder is at Crealy on Monday

Craft and cake at Wesley Hall in Exmouth on Saturday

Otterton Mill is always nice for a visit (and free!) and they're having a "French Weekend" with themed food to try on Saturday & Sunday.

Free to get in and family-friendly, our much-loved Donkey Sanctuary are holding a wedding fayre and a spring craft fair which is charging £2 admission.

And finally, Colyton Grammar School are holding their Garden Fair on Saturday, 10am - 4pm.

Mid Devon

Bow near Crediton is having a big shindig with their Heart of Devon Festival on Sunday.

It's TivvyFest this month, with a family fun day in the Pannier Market on Sunday, and a Spring Bank Holiday Steam-Up at Coldharbour Mill.

Knighthayes Court is hosting "Family Fun Whatever The Weather" right through the weekend.

Teignbridge

If you've never been to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen it's well worth a visit (although tricky for littles ones who want to touch everything!) Across the car park is the Riverside pub which does a very good value carvery. Then have a browse of Bovey's lovely shops, or combine with a trip to the nearby House of Marbles, or run off some steam at Stover Park.

Torbay

Of course the most exciting thing happening this weekend has to be theMeet-Up local.mumsnet.com/devon/group-meet-ups/torbay at the Play Cafe in Torquay on Saturday morning (this runs on the first Saturday of every month...

...although I'll admit that the Brixham Pirate Festival this Saturday and Sunday might have a few more people going! (If it all gets too much for the kids, escape to nearby Berry Head, free to get in and excellent for a run-around.

West Devon

...well to be honest it's looking a little quiet over there this weekend events-wise, however there are plenty of things to try if you haven't had a go before; what about tree surfing? Or a walk through Lydford Gorge?

And Saltram has the mysterious-sounding 50 Things Adventure Day for families (normal admission charges apply.)

Totnes Castle is a nice place for the kids to run about if others in your party want shopping and cafes (which Totnes has plenty of!)

Blackawton hosts the International Worm Charming Championships on Sunday. The theme is "Hawaii" and the whole village gets involved. Only in Devon...

Finally, have a look at what's on in your local museum or activities National Trust property.

And finally, finally... if you've read all of this and are now thinking "I can't believe she hasn't mentioned the Kentisbeare doily-making finals!" or something... please reply and let me know!

Have fun...
