Support your local Midwife Led Maternity Unit

Tomorrow, Monday 1st August 2011, a tea and cake afternoon is being held to support St George's Ward, Wallingford's very own, very special maternity unit.

St George's Ward is very special to mothers in Wallingford and the surrounding area. Every mum I've spoken to who has given birth there, or who has had any part of their ante- or post-natal care there has sung their praises to the skies.

I really would urge you to go along to the Ridgeway Church, 1pm-4pm tomorrow, to have tea and some cakes with the other mums of Wallingford and help raise some money for this excellent facility.

I would also strongly urge you to consider having your baby there if you're expecting. They need 300 women a year to give birth there in order to maintain their funding. It would be so sad to lose a wonderful woman-centred facility like this just because it wasn't getting used enough.
