Interesting summer activity for 5-10 yr old girls: help!

Hi all,

My girls are bookish and dont want to be Xfactor performers or sportswomen. My 9 year old wants to develop her creative writing and the youngest wants to learn about science and art.
Where oh where can I find decent summer playschemes that offer these kinds of activities?

Please help!
