Maternity care in Redhill

Hello,

I am hoping someone here can help me.

I have just moved from Guildford to Redhill and looking to get pregnant again soon.

I had a missed miscarriage (my 1st ever pregnancy) back in April and the maternity and pregnancy care has been great. Initially they offered me a dating scan (at 9 weeks) and nuchal scan with my 12 week scan. They were then really good at giving me scan dates when I didn't know what was going on with the miscarriage. They did a good set of blood tests afterwards when they found that I had cystic ovaries. I also have a folow up appointment booked for the end of the year if I am still having problems. They have also said that I can have a 7 week reassurance scan when I am pregnant again.

From what I have heard other areas are not as good at this and I do not want to move my Dr etc. over to Redhill until I get to the 12 week point if this is the case. (willing to travel to guildford to get the better care.)

Does anyone have any experience of Redhil maternity care that can tell me how they are? Any suggestions of Doctor's surgery to register with or avoid?

Thanks in advance for your help.

hi this may have changed since i has ds2 in 2007 but i had coummity mw as the one attached to my gp surgery at the time was not very nice when ds1 was born and i refused to see her. They were very good and reasured me on all home visits. DS1 has cerebral palsy so ds2 i was scan nearly every week as he was quite small and not sure what caused ds1 cp. i on the whole found the anti natal care mw and hospital very good with ds2. but with ds1 is was rubbish hence his cp. i would phone the coummity mw and talk to them about the care they can offer you as you are new to the area. Hope that helps.
