Hi. I live in St Margarets and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for baby swim classes. My DS is 4 months. I don't really know where to start and no idea on prices etc. I'd be grateful for any info.

Waterbabies do classes in Twickenham on Saturdays for babies from pretty small and Pools on the Park in Richmond start from six months I think. Have experience of waterbabies - it's a bit pricey but the teaching is good and the teacher is in the water all the time. There were some problems with the pool last year due to building work leading to multiple cancellations but that seems to have been dealt with.

Thanks for the response purcellfan. I've looked at Waterbabies but unfortunately the dates don't suit us. I'm now looking at London Baby Swim in Osterley. If anyone has any experience of this please let me know. Thanks.

We did lessons with Waterlife at Cedars (Richmond Hill hotel). The teacher and pool were both lovely. It's a bit of a trek from St Margarets but no worse than Osterley.

Because it's a smart gym, towels are provided and the changing rooms are smart and clean (with nice toiletries!) but not really geared up for wriggly babies. There is a family changing room but that's first-come, first served.

Laura Sevenus in Chiswick is fabulous! Clean, warm, lots of changing mats etc. A bit of a trek for you, but worth it.

Thanks for the replies. I've ended up going with the summer term at London Baby Swim at Osterley. Will update with our thoughts on it in a couple of months.

Love love love waternippers but need to go to ham or chiswick and likely a bit of a wait. Ours can swim unaided at 3 though and 1 yr old has cracking confidence.

Hi!

I took my daughter to Babyswim in Osterley and found them really good. We only dropped out as I didn't book the next term quick enough and it got full really quickly! It was a nice way to start a Sunday!
