Events in the school holidays

Anyone seen anything good to do in the school holidays? I would really appreciate any suggestions of good places to go and visit. I took my daughter to walsall Aboretum a few weeks ago for a picnic and was well impressed with how clean it is there. Free ideas are must appreciated :)

The Art Gallery will do weekly free activities over longer holidays. The leather museum do activities too, but at a cost of approx £1.50.

love the art gallery -they do some free stuff most school hols-and they have the dISCO room open every day which is free and entertains the kids
