Meet-up.. Summer .Picnic maybe?

Hi,It seems to lose the contacts we have made on here....and not meet the many newbies that have started on MN Local.Could we maybe organise to all meet-up for a Summer picnic at Castle park maybe? Theres a new playarea opening there very soon, and its quite central to get to....
Maybe we could organise a date...or if not that than another trip to Cudmore Grove, although this may need more organising with the non-drivers amongst us etc.

Seems a shame not to meet up anymore,(although I know a few of us still do infrequently) ....
Sad

I'd be up for that, depending on dates/times :)

The new play park in the CP looks great - I think it opens on 30th of this month.

Cudmore Grove is lovely and I've got room for 4 more in my car for non-drivers.

There's also a new play park at Highwoods Country Park, near the visitors centre - in fact I just came on here to start a thread about it in case anyone didn't know :)

My son went over there yesterday, said the new play park at Highwoods Country
Park is excellent.Strange though,a friend told me it had been torched, just before opening, but he said there was no evidence of this as it looked fine.

How odd! Looked fine to me too. The kids loved it. We went over on Sunday; they did a sort of Treasure/Egg Hunt. My miserably hungover DP had to be forcibly restrained from lying in the hammock in the playpark and having a nap Grin

Hi Sawyer, that sounds great. Castle Park better for me being a non driver, what dates did you have in mind?
I hope you are all well.

Hello all, I am a newby both to MN and to the area. We moved to Coggeshall at the end of November not knowing the area or anyone! We are doing our best to settle in by attending many of the groups with my 2 year old and 11 month old, my eldest also started Easterford yesterday 2 mornings a week. We are really keen to meet new playmates / adult conversation / perhaps the odd Fri G & T buddy... would love to be included in one of your local gatherings if possible.

I haven't been on here for ages...but would be lovely to catch up. Highwoods would be good or CP (Saz you could get to HIghwoods just as easily if not more easily that CP from the station, or I could give you a lift). You'll have to send me a message via FB though Sawyer to get me to check on here...I cannot risk returning to my MN addiction Grin

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been on here for ages but would love to meet up with some old (not in the wrinkly way!) faces and also some new ones.

I am still only available on Thursdays and Fridays at the moment but a meet up would be great.

Hi Lainey! New to the local boards but not to Colchester, been here for years. Would be great to meet some more local MNers and the new park is great. Would also be happy to drive anywhere if lifts are required! Smile

Hi,Just thought we could maybe set a date,as August is starting to fly by.....I can do Thursdays anytime,or Friday's 1.30pm ish. I can't do next week as taking my son to the airport on Thursday, and I don't have the girls Friday.

But maybe the week after 25th or 26th?

What's everyone's thoughts? Smile

Hi Sawyer! Thursday 25th would be good for me - morning good or meet for picnic. Can anyone else make this? Could possibly also do the 26th, but a little late for my DD who still loves her daytime sleep and gets v grumpy without it. Would be lovely to see some new faces and finally meet up again with some "old" ones! x

Sorry Natasha,no FB link...I just invited those MN/FB people that I knew. Unfortunately this local site isn't used as much as it was,and most people couldn't make it to the Picnic I planned. You could always try "resurrecting" the site.Plenty of newbies it seems, wanting to make contact.... Smile
