The Nursery near Morrisons is meant to be very good and it has it's own little farm at the back.

Hi Olisam. I'm relocating to Beverley this week and my two year old is starting at a new nursery, so I'll let you know how that goes. Before I enrolled him I tried to find some reviews of nurseries in the area but there's not much out there. I went for the most convenient one in the end but it looked nice when we went to visit. The good news is that there seems to be plenty of availability - at least at the nurseries I contacted, there were places immediately available. I was quite surprised as I have been living in London and had to put my son's name down on lots of waiting lists while I was still pregnant - and I had 9 months maternity leave, so long waiting times.

Do you know whereabouts in Beverley you will be living yet?

Depends on if you need wrap around care i.e. lunch/flexible pick ups etc.

If not and you just want a good pre-school - Toll Gavel take from 2yo (mornings only) dd was very happy there.

Then there is the local authority pre-school Manor Road (fantastic educational start) but again no wrap around care but I have heard this may be changing in September. Places are quite limited and in high demand.

There is also Firtrees in Tickton, this one really depends on which side of Beverley you will be, great ofsted and my friends dd has just started there and loving it (offers longer hours I believe)

I live in bev and both my children went to manor road nursery it's fab and free for either every morning or afternoon it has excellent reputation. There is usually a waiting list though. They also went to safe n sound off shepherds lane that is really nice too and they will do pick ups and drop offs to manor road and to local primaries when they get older. Hope that helps x

Hi, I live in Beverley and The Friary Nursery School is a great Nursery. I have friends that have sent all their children there and have loved it. They are really flexible with days and hours, you can have full days or mornings or afternoons. They have a primary school teacher and prepare the children really well for school, all my friends children were reading and writing when they started school. They have been open for over 25 years, well worth a visit.
