Just saw in the local paper last night that from september they are extending free meals to those on WTC earning under £16k-ish. (previously only IS/JSA and WTC if working less than 16 hours a week)
Have a look at your local education and library board site for more info. Our school meals are £2.20 a day, so it would be a significant saving for anyone who prefers theor child to have their main meal at lunchtime.
PS I posted this in local as when I searched main site, it appears that the folks in the rest of the UK have different criteria.
