Does the US have something like last minute.com

Am visiting NYC!!! In May and would love to go see a show - just wonderign whats the best way of buying tickets or if there was a lastminute.com type website

There used to be a box office in Times Square that sells 1/2 price tickets for shows left over for that day. Depends whether you're choosy about what show or just want to go and see one of the big ones on Broadway. I did it but it would be 15 years ago so you'd need to check they still do it. Need to queue up early-ish, I think it opens about 9.30.
