Greetings everyone!

I’m new here and would like to ask for advice how to place my 11 year old in a secondary school in Amsterdam or area starting next academic year (2019-2020)

I’ll be arriving in Amstersam on 25 March and will have time to visit some schools.

I was targeting AICS or Hilversum International School. Has anyone had experience on one of the above schools?
What alternatives are there for bridging classes so that we can get to best options given his age?

Thanks!
Adi

My understanding is that ISA is the best school for expats in Amsterdam.

isa is incredibly expensive.
the international schools are ok, but have a high pupil turnover.
alternatively there is a british school (also very expensive and oversubscribed) or the european schools

I was targeting AICS and International School Hilversum.
Also I am open to local school options.

I wander in which group my kid would be placed, since he is born in April 2008
