anyone in Rouen? or in France? How do I find out what's on?

I'm visiting my parents here over Easter and looking for things to do with my 8mo DS. Can anyone tell me how to find out whats on? In the UK I'd normally check the local council's website or childrens library. Not sure how to go about it in France. Thanks

You can look on Angloinfo website. It has local sites for all areas with what's on listings.
There are not as many activities for babies or children though in France, so you may not have the same choice as in the Uk.

Look on the town's mairie's website which should list what's on. Most towns have libraries with children's sections and also see if they have a ludotheque (library for toys, you can turn up and play and/or borrow toys).

This is Rouen's mairie site:

www.rouen.fr/guide-mairie

This seems to be a club for parents and toddlers:

www.rouen.fr/adresse/bebe-en-herbe

This website is quite good as well for vide grenier (kind of like car boot sales but you can find a lot of antiques at low prices), brocanteries (antiques sales), and other local events which might be fun for a day out:

vide-greniers.org/

There are loads of clubs for older children, especially during the holidays, from drama to the arts to sports and most are accessed through the local mairie and the list of club loisirs.
