Best area to move in Paris western suburbs and best schools?

Hi,
My daughter has been offered a place at BSP to start after half term, I travelled to many parts of Paris but only Versailles and Bougival in the western suburbs. Just wanted some advice about the nicer places, I was obviously thinking Croissy sur Seine, St Germain en Laye, Chatou. I do not drive and will want somewhere that is either within walking distance or a short bus ride. If anyone can advise that would be great.

The BSP is on the border of Croissy and LeVesinet so either of those areas will be either walking distance or a short ride away. I lived near the centre of Croissy and it was about a 20 minute walk to school.
St Germain is lovely but the traffic is shocking on a morning so although it may look close on the map it could end up being a long journey. I'm not a fan of Chatou but lots of BSP people live there and again it's quite a short bus ride from there (not walkable), just beyond LeVesinet is Montesson which is very residential and I believe you get more house for your money. The drive / bus journey should be OK from there as it is on the same side of the river as the BSP. I never actually got the bus so I'm not certain on bus routes / timings etc.
If you don't drive I would probably recommend living in LeVesinet which has decent shops and restaurants you can walk too, 2 RER stops into Paris and is close to school. Any more questions on the area, please ask!

My sister used to live in LeVesinet when her DH was at the Embassy, and her son went to the British School - I think he got a school bus there. It was a lovely area, with a gorgeous park close by. I thought at the time I'd love to live there.

Also, forgot to add that the school runs buses which cover most of the suburbs and Paris so you could use that if the cost is included in your package or you're prepared to pay for it.
