Hi, guys, I'm new😊 I have a whole host of health problems relating to my spine, hips, neck...but I have just been diagnosed anaemic and when I looked into it I couldn't believe the symptoms I was dealing with for years could have been related to this and not my other health problems? My problem today is that I'm struggling to breath when walking up the stairs, (I'm 48) but I struggle to walk anyway because of hip bursitis, bilateral/torn glutes and a failed lumbar fusion and for a while I put it down to being less mobile but it's so scary so I do try and stay as active as I can although very limited. For the past 3 years my health has deteriorated rapidly but the past 10 months have been Hell! I've been practically house and bed bound for up to 3 weeks at a time then slowly get back on my feet only to end up back in bed, the pain has been horrendous just trying to walk, now I know my hips need taken care of and really did put it all down to this however I'm struggling with breathing, walking, mouth ulcers, feeling freezing cold all the time, low blood pressure, heart palpitations, dioreah, I've been bleeding for 18 days straight and really do feel poorly. I started taking Iron 4 days ago and eating an iron rich diet. My diet has always been good except when I have been laid up.
Over the last few months I have called 111 and if I could have got out of bed I would have gone A&E im not sure what to do and don't want to waste the doctors time.

Op I’m sorry you’ve not been well, anaemia can be horrendous I had a b12 deficiency a while ago & it was awful. I’m mostly bumping for you as I have no real suggestions. Can I suggest you call your doctor & ask for a home visit. You may be lacking more than iron. Good luck op x
