My father went into hospital with back pain 4 months ago, only to find out that he has an aggressive for of kidney cancer which had spread to the spine. He has subsequently had his kidney removed, surgery on his spine and undergone a course of radiotherapy. Sadly we found out yesterday it had not worked and the cancer in the back has grown and can now also be seen on the lungs and in the pelvis. My dad is 60 and always very resilient, but he is in so much pain and has lost so much weight, it is hard to stay positive. I just wondered if anyone else is going through something similar or has any experience of kidney cancer. I guess I just want an idea of what the next steps are and what to expect. Thanks X
