We just moved to London from the U.S. with our 2 kids (boy 10, girl 6) and have yet to meet other gay parents here. We live in north London. Would appreciate guidance and direction on how to find a community so we--and our kids--don't feel like we are the only ones in this big city. Thanks!
hi - I can't help as I don't live in the UK, let alone in London, but there are some networks for gay parents (rainbow families, I think and some others). Didn't want you to go unanswered, although these boards are pretty slow!
London is pretty diverse, so you will soon feel right at home (I'm originally a Londoner)
There is a group who meets every first Sunday 2-5pm of the month in Mile End (positive east building). Well worth going to, lots of parents, parents-to-be and kids to chat to. There will be a Christmas party on Sunday 5th Dec so would expect quite a few families there! Will send you the invite.
Hi, I see you posted this quite a while go, so maybe you're all settled now. We are two mums and a nearly five-year-old in NW2, and would love to meet up in a park or whatever. Our daughter is very keen to meet children from families more like hers.. Welcome to London, belatedly!
