Hello,

I'm a granddad after some advice on legal help for my daughter and granddaughter. She has a court case impending in Dec. This is the third and final appearance and is the one where final arrangements over access for the father are made. My granddaughter is sixteen months old and the last two visits the father has been represented. I have gone each time with my daughter and helped but she really does need proper representation but it's beyond my financial capabilities. Anyone out there with advice. I'm working at the minute do if you do offer advice and I don't reply straight away that's why thanks in sdvance

Hi @Gajo, and a warm welcome to Mumsnet. Brew

We're just giving this thread a bump for you to get it back into Active Conversations. Hopefully some Mumsnetters will be along soon with some advice.

Can we also just check if you intended to post in our SN Legal/financial topic, or if you'd rather we moved your thread over to our general Legal matters topic? Just report your thread or reply here if you'd like us to move it.

We think Legal Matters is probably a better place for your thread so we're moving it over now. Best of luck.

If you can't afford legal representation it may be worth having a word with any universities local to you who offer law or law conversion courses - often they have pro bono units or, if not a formal arrangement, may have some students close to completion who would offer you some advice either free or at a significant reduction. I think University of Law and BPP have these options
