She's now said this twice. His dc is 5.
Does he ring cms as they do a Dna? As I'm not sure if he paid for one they'd want their own one done to be sure and make sure it's not fiddled.

No point in contacting the CMS. They are entitled to assume he is the father because he is on the birth certificate. In any case, he has previously admitted he is the father. If he now wishes to dispute that it is up to him to prove he isn't the father. It is not up to the CMS to prove he is.

DNA paternity testing is not that expensive these days. There seem to be a lot of places offering tests for £99.

That's cool just wasn't sure if they would accept on he gets done himself but we've just looked on gov site andv there is a list of approved companies he can use. His ex has to agree too. Which hopefully she won't be awkward but depends if she meant the threat or not.

Poor kid. Has he stopped to consider what difference it would make if she wasn't his?

If he disputes paternity with the CSA they will charge him for the DNA test, but refund him if he's not the father. Not sure how this works when he's been paying for a while though.

That is so sad. Does your DP not have a relationship with his child? There were suspicions about the paternity of my friend's grandchild but her son refused to have a test done, after all, being a father is much more than mere genes.

Personally i'd go through CMS. They use a reputable centre, nobody can dispute the results & if, god forbid, he isn't, they can help deal with the maintenance side of things.
I really feel for your DP

Thank you. He doesn't mind paying but wants a reputable company to do it. Or one that is genuine that the cms would accept
He's waiting for his case worker to call back hopefully Monday
He wouldn't want any money he's paid his ex back if turns out he's not the father as just can't deal with the hassle.
But if he is. She can't make crap up and he knows 100% iyswim. As now he's questioning everything as doesn't know what to believe.
