Do I need a new will?

Separated from my husband a year and a half ago, bought a new house made a new will.
We are waiting the decree absolute and he has said I will need to write a new will as my current one will be invalid.
My current will just leaves everything to my daughter and then who it all goes to if she predeceases me.If I wrote a new one it would be identical.
Do I really need to redo it?

No. The effect of divorce is that any gift to your ex is treated as if they had already died.

If you remarry, your will becomes invalid unless made in anticipation of the marriage.

Thank you.Thought I was going to have to pay again and the divorce is draining the coffer fast enough as it is.
