MP behaving badly.

I'd be really grateful if anyone could help me. Would it be legally problematic to post a photo of an MPs illegally parked car? A board posted it for me, and he threatened them with legal action.
Thanks!

Probably not a good idea. Annoying as you may find it the proper authorities (police or local authority parking officers) are the people who you could legitimately inform. Otherwise you are just asking for trouble. If you want him/her advised about parking correctly in the future then talk to the police. They may (or may not) have a quiet word. Alternatively contact the MP and tell him/her that you would have thought that as an MP responsible for voting laws into force that he/she should respect the law. Alternatively you could advise his/her party that you have witnessed this and that it brings the party in to disrepute to have its MPs disregarding the law they can then discipline the MP.

Thanks for your advice, I do find it very depressing.

Ed balls got done for speeding and reversing into a car in his constituency and that was in the papers.

I dont see why this is an issue unless the number plate was on it.

I can't see what law is broken here. Did you take the photo in a public place?

I'd send it to the local press. They love that kind of thing.

No. No legal problem. The only issue could be libel so don't write anything not provable in court like 'MP is a liar and a cheat because he illegally parked his car.' Just post the photo and write 'Car belongs to MP'

Are you 100 per cent sure it was his car and 100 percent sure he was driving? Do you have a pic of him driving it?

If you have that stuff then my paper would publish it. We publish pics of shit parkers outside schools all the time.

No problem with posting number plates online as they're continuously on public show already.
