It really depends on how much older than the boy she is.

How old is she?

How old is your daughter please?

if you're talking about them having sex underage, then no, she won't - in law, she's unable to give consent under the age of 16 so the boyfriend, technically, will have raped her. It is him who stands to be punished (which extremely unlikely, the police won't press charges unless she's upset/saying she's been cooerced etc).

How old is she?

Is she a teacher or something?

It depends how old your daughter is, and whether she is in a position of responsibility?

It depends on how old she is,'and whether she's in a position of trust/authority

Very much depends on your DD age.

Bucking, I'm assuming the daughter is the age of consent if his mother went to the police and the son is the one who was raped.

Massively depends if your DD is 17 or 37! Or whatever.

Did she know he was 15? And how old is she?

Probably not

What a pointless thread if you're not going to give relevant details Hmm

Bluntness100 · 07/02/2017 16:30

But even if she's 17 she will be put on the sex offenders register, sorry op. The punishment itself depends on so much more.

This thread is going to be a drip feed nightmare Hmm

As others have said it depends on her age and whether she was a teacher or was in a position of trust.

oh honestly really sorry thought i put her age, she is 18. no drip feed intended at all just dont want to say everything

Going to the police doesn't mean she will be prosecuted and if she is prosecuted it's not a given she's found guilty though she may choose to plead guilty of course. Your daughter needs legal advice immediately and she should act on that advice in terms of the questions she answers.

no position of trust they are at the same school/sixth form, will add that in there too.

Is he nearly 16

Report
BitchPeas · 07/02/2017 16:42

If they go to the same school then she would have known his age and she still had sex with him so that doesn't look good.

Report
BornStroppy · 07/02/2017 16:43

i thought male age of consent was 14? (unless position of trust etc)

Report
scaredofthecity · 07/02/2017 16:45

He is over 14 and she is only 3 years older so I very much doubt there will be any action at all. If it was the other way round would you think anything of it?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 07/02/2017 16:45

I think theyre too close in age for the police to be interested..

Report
Ilovecaindingle · 07/02/2017 16:46

Unless he has text messages of an abusive nature I think she will be OK. .
