Good divorce solicitors Reading area

Hi,
Unfortunately it looks like I may be heading for divorce. I have 2 primary school age children age 8 and 7 and will want to ensure I have main residency - I think my husband will fight me on that.

Are there any really good solicitors in the Reading area dealing with this?

We both work full time but I do (and always have done) all children related things - eg feeding, clothing, teeth cleaning, book bags, haircuts, dental apt, doctors apt, taken time off when sick, school has me down as primary carer and first point of contact, organize all children activities etc etc. I have curtailed my career to ensure I can leave work at 5 and pick them up from school at 5.30. My husband works over an hour away and is rarely able to be home before 8.

I would want them to live with me and husband have EOW and 1 night a week (and be flexible when necessary)

Thanks for recommendations

I've heard Field Seymour Parks are good, though no direct experience.

I'm sorry you are going through this. Best of luck.

No experience but I have an acquaintance who works at Barratt & Thomson in Slough - might be worth an enquiry?

I have used Thomas Edgar in Newbury they have been excellent. Though after the initial meeting everything else is done by phone and email. So close location has not been really necessary.

I used Dexter, Montague and Partners. They were brilliant, even doing a lot pro bono to ensure my abusive ex was kept away.

Tony Roe in Theale were excellent. Blandy and Blandy also came highly recommended. Good luck!

Is Camberley too far?

In case anyone else reads this I'd recommend Paul Wild at Barrett and Co in Reading. He does an initial consult at £95 and sets it out what's likely to happen. Very useful even before you mention the D word.
