Divorce proceedings stopped..what should I do?

I separated 2 yrs ago, have decree absolute.
Husband was EA & has been dragging out proceedings. I went through financial proposals 4 months ago with my solicitor, they weren't sent to other party in error & my solicitor said he would rewrite and send (in July)
Last week I emailed to find out what response has been received , to receive an email from secretary saying my solicitor off on long term sick & will be off for sometime. Received copy of letter to other party explaining situation & asking them to submit their financial proposals.
We are struggling financially, the matrimonial home remains unsold with tons of equity & it looks like this will drag on for ever.
I don't think this is right but don't know how to approach it, or even who to approach?
Help please!
