The practicalities of 3?

We're umming and aahing about another baby.

Kids will be 18, 4.5 (and a few months off school) and about 3 when baby comes if things go to plan, so this would be DC4, but we'd only have 3 at home, if that makes sense.

We have enough bedrooms, already drive a 7 seater. The short term stuff feels manageable.

What are the longer term practicalities? What do holidays look like? After school clubs? Is it manageable to both work? I can't get to grips with this bit, and I think these sorts of things are holding DH back. In our hearts we both want to go ahead, I think, but our heads are wavering.

We didn't notice a jump from 2-3 1-2 yeah but 2-3 was seamless, we did realise however once the little one started to walk that I'd become outnumbered when I went out alone, 2 hands and 3 kids doesn't equate, but mine are all very similarly aged, quite close together, so it was a bit of a stretch, now the eldest is more independent it's become easier again, family holidays are a tad more expensive, to stay in a travel lodge you'll need to have two rooms and an adult with each room so you need to get hotels really, feeding them all is a bit more food than before but again no great pressure, clothing them all can be expensive but it's like everything, if you shop savvy you'll get by, the only time I stress majorly is school uniform time 3x everything is expensive but it's only once a year much like Christmas so with some careful saving in the months leading up to it you can do it :-) hope this helps xx

Meant to add hubby works 5am-2pm and I am in my final year of a university honours course (all done with three children in tow) so working is manageable, just careful planning again, if I had an early class and he was working I'd take the hit and go in late or ask for help from my parents
