Some people are awful. But most of them are nice.

You posted in larger families, and I think if you have a football team (or even just a basketball team) that people will comment- not all negatively, but something.

Just ignore it and go for quality when it comes to friends.

A direct stare and insisting they just repeat what they said tends to work a treat. It'll soon filter down to all the other bitches that you aren't one to take it lightly.

"Ooooooohhhhh you've got your hands full "
Made me wanna punch them directly in the face!
I used to just use my brass neck and talk to them!

one of the school mums, church mum on the pta, actually asked me if we had enough room in our house for another. we live in a very generously sized 3 bed and were expecting dc4. cheeky bitch! so yes, some are bitchy and judgy-pants. most aren't though. ignore the nasties and make friends with the others (childminders are usually great to chat to and never judge and know what life is like with a house full of ickle ones)
