Sorry if this is not in the right topic not sure where to put it but if its wrong please say where.

Basically I'm due dc3 this year and I'm now worrying about car seats :(
Changing the car is a no so I need to fit 3 car seats in the back of a BMW 3 series touring 99-05.
We have a 4 year old who is already in booster seat (not a highback) and a 2year old who is 12kg. We have brought a maxi cosi pebble to go with the pushchair we brought. But I think it may be a struggle.

Can someone recommend 2 New seats for the dc's is there a slimmer chair out there?

TIA

You can put one in the front with the airbag off.

We got a Maxi-cosi Priori, a maxi cosi baby seat with isofix and a booster (not highback) across the back of an Audi A3. Not sure how safe it was. We prefered to travel with DS1 in the front with airbag off on a highback booster and I went in the middle in the back with the maxi cosis. And then DS4 arrived and we had to get the bus....

I am wondering the same. Not sure I can switch airbag off in my car and 3 car seats is a squeeze. I just want a slimline booster seat without a back.
Think Renault sell them with backs but they are expensive.

Your eldest is legally allowed to travel without a suitable restraint if the fitment of two seats prevent a third being fitted.

Having said that I have squeezed a maxi cosi priori, a britax evolve 2-3 and a basic booster across the back of our 406.

If I were you, I would buy a newborn seat that has a base you can permanently leave in the car, this will make life a little easier.

I have this for DD (age 4) and it fits on the back seat in-between a baby seat and a maxi cosi priori. It's not often that there are actually 5 people in my car so most of the time she sits in the front seat on a high backed booster sear.

We found the maxi-cosi robi was the narrowest high back booster by a couple of cm and that made the difference of fitting 3 across the back seat or not.

When 2 were in high back boosters we had them both plugging in at the same point with facecloths around the plugs to hold the slots up-right to minimise the fiddling around.

Could you have the permanent base in the car for the rear facing car seat so you just drop it into the base without having to fiddle with belts. I have had 2 different isofix bases, depending on prams being used, and it made school runs easier.

I had to go to a shop and try lots of combinations to fit in no 3's rear facing then front facing seat. I have 4 children 6 and under so all in high back boosters or car seats so have worked through many combinations. It is a nightmare but do-able!
