Which stocks and shares ISA for a 30 year old woman?

Hi mumsnetters,

Wondering if anyone has any advice about which stocks and shares ISA is a good pick for a 30 yr old, I have a high tolerance of risk and am happy to hold my investments whether they fall or rise, im looking for aggressive growth.

Currently I have an ISA with Nutmeg however the high fees (0.75%) are causing me to reconsider. I'm considering to invest 50% of my isa in the S&P 500 and 50% in Vanguard's Lifestrategy 100% equity (both via Vanguard's platform). Would this be a good mix? Or would it be better just to go with one fund to reduce fees and not overcomplicate things?

I am looking to invest £200 pm over the next 30 years. I have a solid emergency fund and a mortgaged property as well as company pension so feel ready to do this over the medium to long term.

Many thanks and appreciate any advice you can give to a very inexperienced investor! Grin

What are your needs and objectives for this money? Meaningful advice is impossible without first knowing what you're actually trying to achieve.

Investigate index trackers - lower fees and perform better than the majority of managed funds.

The Motley Fool message boards used to be brilliant for financial/investing advice but sadly they no longer exist.

Hi @Sunseed I would like the funds to supplement my retirement or to take an earlier retirement when I get to 60. Smile

I have just set up a vanguard lifestrategy isa. I went for the medium risk one. Fees were comparatively good. Plan is to leave it for 5 to 8 years and also to channel money into work pension.

Age and sex irrelevant. Look for low charges.

If you don't want to access before 60, consider a LISA as one wrapper. You can invest up to 4000 p.a. and get an additional 25% top up. You can access from 60 with no tax to be paid. If you access before 60, there are punitive taxes. But it is possible to access in dire straits.
