FET questions

Hi,
I am hoping to have a FET in my next cycle if the consultant gives me the ok for this.
I was just wondering if someone whines hd a frozen transfer cycle could answer a couple of time frame questions for me -
Roughly what day in your cycle is the transfer done?
How many times did you have to go into the clinic for scans compared to when you were getting ready for egg collection?
How long after the transfer were you able to test?
Sorry, you can probably tell this is my first time.
Thanks

I think it totally depends on your protocol.

Mine is:

Buserelin down regulation from day 21 of cycle.
Had a scan on day 20 of this to confirm down reg.
Then started HRT. My next scan will be 2 weeks after commencing this. If lining looks good, transfer will be some point a week later. (So 6 weeks from starting down reg). If lining not good enough, suspect further meds and scan.

It seems to vary so much from clinic to clinic. Mine was:

Day 1: Call clinic
Day 2: first scan and start oestrogen tablets (3x per day)
Day 10: Second scan and add progesterone tablets (3x per day)
Day 15: Transfer

I had a blood test at the clinic at 10dpt.

I do non medicated FET so call clinic on cycle day 1 and I have one scan on cycle day 8 to confirm there is a lead follicle - this time I also had one on cycle day 10 to check follicle growth and then as I didn't get a positive OPK over the weekend I had a final scan on cycle day 13 which confirmed ovulation starting and LH surge. No more scans needed after that. If you don't get an LH surge and follicle reaches certain size they'll give you a trigger shot anyway

If you surge in the morning then the following day is classed as day zero and transfer happens on day 5

If you surge in the afternoon - after 4pm - it's not the next day but the day after that you count as day zero and then transfer 5 days after that

Thank you for your responses @Betsyboo87 I think that sounds like exactly what I will be having. I think I’m going to be on progynova and then progesterone pessaries.
The thing that is bothering me at the moment is if my period comes when I expect it...that day14/15/16 zone will be around dec 25th so I need to talk to the clinic, to see whether I need to wait until January for this, I’m kind of hoping that it’s late - which it might be because what I had last week was my withdrawal bleed so maybe my cycle might change slightly I’m not too sure. If it is maybe I could do the transfer around the 27/12 mark.
It all feels a little stressful!
